Friday evening saw a model aircraft display from the aeromodellers who already fly at Aston Down.
Many Rally pilots and CGC Club members are aeromodellers themselves so fully appreciate the hours of work and skill that is needed to create these masterpieces. The star of the show, without taking anything away from the other great models, has to be the giant Lancaster. When flying it is often difficult to distinguish the model from it's full size counterpart. I was able to capture the Lancaster on a previous outing to Aston Down so have included the image below to illustrate my point. The rest were taken on the Friday evening and as light began to fade some of us made a welcome visit to the bar!
